Today, as a bag giver, I met a senior lady, Jenny who is an NP and ND. When I brought her to the connect lounge at the end of the 9:00 AM service, she looked troubled and anxious. She told me that she doesn’t understand the message at all because it was conducted in English. I sensed that language is not a barrier for her to experience HIM. I PROCLAIMED the GOSPEL over her in Cantonese with mixture of Mandarin. She accepted and received Jesus Christ as her personal saviour and prayed a sinner’s prayer with me.
After that, she told us that she was troubled by the skin disease of her mid-age son. Immediately, I prayed for her son and her other children. I PROCLAIMED that My God, Jesus Christ is the HEALER and HE can heal any diseases and ready to save her entire family.
In the evening, Jenny managed to contact my wife's handphone and left a voice message (with joyful tone) informing her that she was really touched and blessed by the commitment prayer and would like to arrange for another visit to KC followed by a "yumchar" (tea) session. We are inspired and encouraged with the response. Awesome God!!
My learning for the day:
1. Language is not a barrier for the Holy Spirit to move.
2. Don’t explain. Just PROCLAIM.
3. Godly PROCLAMATION can turn a distressed & timid looking lady to a joyful one!
