Study Material : Exodus Chapter 4

Purpose of Coaching :
1.       Reading of story
2.       Test on understanding of story.

Progress :
1.       Revelation from:-
a.      SERPENT 1
Exodus 4:3…..”Threw it on the ground, and it became a serpent”
When you are not holding on to your career firmly, it becomes the tools of Satan to hurt others and go against God.

Another revelation on 15 Oct 2012 with Jimmy Tay
Authority not in God's hand > Serpent > Harm to others
Authority in God's hand > Shepherd Staff > Blessing to others

Exodus 4:4…..”he stretched out his hand and caught it, and it became a staff in his hand”
When you hold on to your career firmly, it becomes the tools of God to bring blessing to many others.
Function of Staff :-
                                                               i.      To rescue sheep from the valley/pit.
ii.      To protect sheep from the attack of wild beast.
iii.      To kill/chase away serpent and scorpion in the desert.
iv.      To help the shepherd to walk on the sand in the desert.

b.      SERPENT 2
Exodus 4:4…..”grasp it by its tail”
Grasping the serpent’s tail is the most deadly action to do. That means when we are called by the Lord, we are prepared to take risk in our life and He is taking the responsibility to protect us.
c.       LEPROUS
Exodus 4:6…..”his hand was leprous like snow”
Isolation from people.
Exodus 4:7…..”it was restored like the rest of his flesh”
Accompanying by God.
Another revelation on 15 Oct 2012 with Stephen Leong
> Put our hand in our own desire > Hand was rotten
> Put our hand in God's desire > Hand was healed
d.    FIRSTBORN
Exodus 4:22…..”Israel is my son, My firstborn”
Exodus 4:23…..”I will kill your son, your firstborn”
When we cause the firstborn of God in captivity, he will never let go our firstborn.
Exodus 4:24…..”…the Lord met him and sought to put him to death”
Exodus 4:25…..”Ziporah….cut off her son’s foreskin…..”
The important of our responsibility to bring consecration/salvation to our descendants.

2.       Reflection :
a.       How do you relate your existing responsibility to your serving of God?
b.      List the risk and isolation that you may go through while serving God.
c.       What is your plan to bring consecration to your offspring?
